i love the music, the chords and recording is top notch. everything is clear and precise. the vocals are ok. i would (if it was me) reconsider having so much lyrics, the music is lovely and can carry the song. less is more i guess. the 'breakdown' at around the 2 min mark sounds a little messy, the aggressive vocals dont really work in my opinion, they need more of a deeper or a clearer tone and not so throat based. more killswitch and less lamb of god would suit.

overall i think its an incredible song, just might need a little more work in my opinion.

This song was never designed for vocals, it was only ever really intended to be an instrumental, RF just wanted to put vocals on it. You can hear the original song on my Soundcloud, or you can purchase it from my bandcamp page.

Thanks for the review.

an amazing instrumental, well done :-)

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Thanks.

I believe this to be awsum!

strangely it reminds me of an early onimusha game. the subtle Japanese sticks really make it stand out. can imagine a fight scene with this, or a stand off between a hero and villian.

great job :-)

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you :)

you remind me of an early tool, the drums scream early 2000's with a driving interesting beat.

guitars are great and have a clear defined tone, would be interested to know what software or equipment was used.

overall the structure reflects the same as your other electronic tracks, you know how to keep it interesting and make the listener pay attention to every note.

this is very impressive work!

LunyAlex responds:

Once again thank you for your kind words and feedback!

This was recorded a few years back so some details are a bit fuzzy, but if I remember correctly :

REAPER as the DAW
Line 6 Pod Farm (I believe only works with Line 6 Audio Interfaces) for the guitar tone modeling
Either Superior Drummer 2.0 or Addictive Drums (think it was the latter) as programmed MIDI Drums.

I quite fondly appreciate the Tool comparison, hah. One of my favorite bands.

you have a very talented mind when it comes to timings and the flow of a song. you clearly have an ability to stop a song getting stale and bring in some really refreshing beats / effects. amazing job

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you sincerely for your kind words. Very humbling and motivating!

amazingly intense, love the build and the power behind the chords.

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you kindly! Very happy you like it!

great version :-)

really good mix of melodies. you have clear spent alot of work composing each guitar / instrument. there are some notes that dont work, especially with the bass but overall it doesnt effect the song that much. great work!

karen0naruto responds:

thank you, i was just messing around with Punk-o-Matic :)

haha what a contrast of the literal content with the happy go lucky theme that follows!

it is a great piece of juxta-positioned art! love it

My aim is to write video game soundtracks and themes for web comics alike. I have been playing guitar for about 13 years and have recently put my hand to electronic sounds. Here are some of the sites I am on https://www.facebook.com/sharprainmusicuk ht
