Metaljonus responds:

Thanks!

Reminds me of eternal sonata and the compositions of Chopin, incredible work. I get the feeling of tired thoughts, body wanting to give up but the mind constantly pushing forward...for something...anything. I see a boy sitting starring at walls seeing the life in the wallpapers dance and be free, knowing its something he can never touch. he is the wallpaper, stuck in place and wanting to touch the air outside...he never will.

Absolutely inspiring piece, you should be proud.

BlazingDragon responds:

I've never played Eternal Sonata, but I love the music. That and Chopin is a huge influence of mine. :)

Man, that story you wrote gave me shivers to imagine. It strikes me because it reminds me of my own childhood. I used to lay on the floor with all the lights off and windows covered with blankets so it was pitch black in my room. Music would be playing on the computer and I'd let my imagination wander free and melodies would morph into images and worlds in my mind.

Thank you. :)

I understand your feeling of underwater but i get the impression of being on top of the waves soaring around clearer in my head. looking out onto endless ocean and knowing you can choose any destination, the song makes me feel free and open.

The intro is very distinct and iconic, it stands out and i personally feel it doesn't sound repetitive at all.

the main melody has a beautiful sweeping effect, everything melds and go together. when the intro returns it feels in place with everything else. however maybe it can go somewhere else? a little drama at the end or different beat to separate it.

I did really enjoy this piece, keep it up :-D

johnfn responds:

I always like hearing different interpretations for my piece. It makes me think that maybe I should be even less specific about my pieces, because then it allows the listener to come up with their own interpretations, which probably makes the piece better for them.

Thanks for the review. :)

Love it!

the intro starts so optimistic and cheerful and then it thrown into the madness that comes next but it never loses that rhythm. the drop comes in beautiful and flows well with the feeling of the song.

It constantly feels like its pushing for something feeling wise, like always looking forward. it also has a slightly oriental feel that works well.

it is your best work so far :-D

FortressLord responds:

Glad you think it's my best. I tried LOTS of new things with this.
Also, 'oriental' is interesting feedback. That kind of gives me some ideas. Thanks for the feedback and ideas.

Awsum work! that intro flows so well into the rest of the track. It sounds really professional and top notch. congrats dude!!

FortressLord responds:

Thanks a lot. I'll do more stuff like this, except maybe piano or strings instead of some of the basses.

WHY CANT I VOTE MORE THAN 5!! this is simply incredible musicianship, well done!

BlazingDragon responds:

Haha, thank you kindly! :)

My aim is to write video game soundtracks and themes for web comics alike. I have been playing guitar for about 13 years and have recently put my hand to electronic sounds. Here are some of the sites I am on https://www.facebook.com/sharprainmusicuk ht
