wow that hits you all at once, which in case isnt a bad thing. you are instantly pulled into the melody and the assault doesnt stop!

i love the drops and the mix of sounds. the timing is impeccable and shows your have a great understanding of creating an interesting song structure. Also the production value is off the charts!

Love it! can see it as maybe a protagonist theme or enemy theme?

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you for the feedback and kind words!

I like the way it builds and progress', it starts subtle then grows more complex, which is a testament to your skill and talent.

The melodies can sometimes be a little all over the place, at times it feels they are fighting each other for the spotlight (maybe this was the intention?)

the pads at the beginning i agree are a bit loud, had to turn down my volume on my heads and then it was fine.

Overall i enjoyed it, it gives a great vibe of being carefree and enjoying yourself. can see it being used in adventure games.

great work :-)

stunkel responds:

Thanks! And I feel like the overlapping melodies are being overlooked too much. I honestly think it adds a lot more atmosphere to the song. And I think I agree with you on the pads in the beginning, I'll try turning those down a bit.

Thanks for the review!

doesnt get better for a guitar player to hear this, pure perfection

Biggyzoom responds:

Thank you very much.

this is beyond epic. i love the subtle atmosphere that builds and builds. you have a great talent for creating tension and vivid moods from very few instruments. i cant express how much i love this.

stunkel responds:

Thanks! That really means a lot to me :) Glad you saw it this way!

strangely it reminds me of an early onimusha game. the subtle Japanese sticks really make it stand out. can imagine a fight scene with this, or a stand off between a hero and villian.

great job :-)

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you :)

you remind me of an early tool, the drums scream early 2000's with a driving interesting beat.

guitars are great and have a clear defined tone, would be interested to know what software or equipment was used.

overall the structure reflects the same as your other electronic tracks, you know how to keep it interesting and make the listener pay attention to every note.

this is very impressive work!

LunyAlex responds:

Once again thank you for your kind words and feedback!

This was recorded a few years back so some details are a bit fuzzy, but if I remember correctly :

REAPER as the DAW
Line 6 Pod Farm (I believe only works with Line 6 Audio Interfaces) for the guitar tone modeling
Either Superior Drummer 2.0 or Addictive Drums (think it was the latter) as programmed MIDI Drums.

I quite fondly appreciate the Tool comparison, hah. One of my favorite bands.

My aim is to write video game soundtracks and themes for web comics alike. I have been playing guitar for about 13 years and have recently put my hand to electronic sounds. Here are some of the sites I am on https://www.facebook.com/sharprainmusicuk ht
