I have rated this a few times already on the left, I love this and it is something completely new and different.

The intro is well paced and keeps you interested and that BEAT! sinks me in every time! awsum work.

the break works well and the way it comes back is very impressive.

I can differently see this being used, great job man!

Thanks!
I tried a very different style, particularly with the beat, so I'm glad it worked.
I also made it in under 2 hours with very little planning, so it's good it came out alright.

there is a lot of mixes in here. the intro feels a bit too dragged out with the beat throwing the timing off. the melody that goes with the beat should probably enter at the same time to solidify the sound. I like, however the riff of the intro, its very iconic and is great.

when the intro just disappears it feels it should fade and is too abrupt, same with the riff after it. when it comes back it feels out of place and generally feels like everything is just chopping into place with no coherence. I would suggest maybe have one riff predominately throughout and have the others fading in and out or visa versa.

the guitar is very loud and off putting to the timing and other instruments. it doesn't compliment anything. the notes are good but it needs to be blended a lot better.

the beat keeps entering and disappearing again which is very off putting. i would suggest following or setting a structure and sticking to it, having two conflicting instruments or rhythms having their own individual play time and having them combine at the end i personally think would flow a lot better.

I don't like writing bad reviews and i don't feel this is a bad song, it just needs some work. its a great start point and i would to hear how it turns out after it has been fixed.

Keep at it buddy :-)

Thanks Rain! Glad you enjoyed it!

it reminds me of the shinra mission from FF7, amazing work!

LloydeSorrow responds:

Thank you so much! :-)

Awsum, i love it!

LloydeSorrow responds:

Thanks! :D

professional work, i love the build and the constant fight of the melodies throughout. Awesum!

FateModified responds:

Hey, thanks! It's funny though that you say you like the way the melodies fight. Usually melodies are supposed to work together - you know, like a team effort! Haha, I know what you mean though, thanks!

incredible work, such a beautiful collaboration of instruments. i love it!

Emid responds:

Thank you. Really glad you enjoyed it.

you can feel the emotion come out as you play. Great job dude, your talent clearly knows no bounds!

Musicious responds:

Thank you very much :) I'm glad you like it!

Perfection! i love the build of emotion just by letting the intro carry on for a while. the build is awesome and the several riffs / breakdowns are just awesome.

the chord progression for around 1:50 really makes it tense, then the drop just sells it. awesome work.

I LOVE the riffs at 3:20 ish and how it ties back, you have clearly put a lot of work into this.

can listen to this for hours, Congrats dude!

FortressLord responds:

Really glad you liked this version. It's the only non-original version going into the final song list, so there was a bit of pressure for people to like it.
And yes the intro is 'carried on': Despite the faster BPM the chords are extended, new notes were added, and the tune is repeated an extra time if I remember correctly.

the chord notes do sound a little early compared to the hook notes. its a great harmony and can work well.

it sounds more like a trance song to me to be honest, with a solid beat and sweeping effects i can hear it sounding awsum!

FortressLord responds:

Thanks, very helpful.
My DnB mix of the full track (uploading soon) corrects the timing issue, and most versions of it will not have the hook lateness.

My aim is to write video game soundtracks and themes for web comics alike. I have been playing guitar for about 13 years and have recently put my hand to electronic sounds. Here are some of the sites I am on https://www.facebook.com/sharprainmusicuk ht
